About This Game
The highly acclaimed B&O Mountain Subdivision route for Train Simulator is momentous, with countless captivating railroading experiences to be discovered across its 140 route miles – and here’s a new scenario pack that delivers ten highly authentic operating challenges!
Detailed Description
Known for creating realistic railroad scenarios based upon actual railroad operations, High Iron Simulations has created ten new career scenarios for the B&O Mountain Subdivision that include everything from heavy-haul mainline duty to local and switching operations. With the route set in the early years of the Chessie System, you’ll work at the throttles of four different types of classic first- and second-generation diesel locomotives.
With B&O Mountain Subdivision Scenario Pack 01, you’ll experience railroading at its best on both the Baltimore & Ohio’s legendary “West End” between Cumberland, Maryland and Grafton, West Virginia, and on Western Maryland’s noted Thomas Subdivision between Cumberland and Hampshire, West Virginia. Among the experiences that await you in B&O Mountain Subdivision Scenario Pack 01 are:
- On the traditional-rich Thomas Subdivision of the Western Maryland, you will call upon a set of husky WM SD35s to tote a heavy train of coal loads that originated deep in the mountains of West Virginia.
- You’ll work both of the Western Maryland Thomas Subdivision’s mainstay freights, the “East” and “West” Locals, handling local and switching duties and hauling tonnage.
- During the transitional times following the creation of the Chessie System, you will handle a freight that begins on the WM Thomas Subdivision, then switches over to the B&O Mountain Subdivision for the final lap to sprawling Cumberland Terminal.
- You will climb aboard classic B&O EMD GP9s to work a cement train on B&O’s M&K Subdivision and bring the tonnage into famed M&K Junction.
- You will call upon powerful and versatile Chessie System second-generation EMD SD35s and GP40-2s to move heavy coal and stone tonnage across the daunting Alleghenies.
- You’ll take the throttle of veteran B&O EMD SW1200 switchers to handle challenging yard and local industry switching assignments.
- You will travel to the classic and legendary locations of the B&O Mountain Subdivision route, including Cumberland, Grafton, M&K Junction, Keyser, Newburg Grade, 17-Mile Grade, the Patterson Cutoff, and more!
Over the full length of the Train Simulator B&O Mountain Subdivision route, this new pack from High Iron Simulations delivers diverse and realistic railroading!
Note: This scenario pack requires Train Simulator’s B&O Mountain Subdivision route.
