Trials of Cascadia

Towns, ruins, and dungeons continue beyond the main route.

Travel across two continents. Visit mountain towns, desert temples, elven ruins, tropical jungles, steampunk factories, and the imperial capital.

Pilot the airship yourself. Climb, bank, boost through clouds, and collect items while flying between regions.

Wander off the main road. Whole maps, side dungeons, hidden rooms, treasure, optional encounters, and minigames wait beyond the route the story asks you to take.



Battles use an ATB system. Gauges keep filling while you choose actions, stronger skills take time to cast, and one hero can be swapped from reserve. Major enemy casts show their element and severity before they land.

Build the Chain by dealing steady damage. Higher Chains speed up the party and earn stars with extra bonuses. Taking a hard hit can break the Chain.

Attack weaknesses to fill the Stagger gauge. A staggered enemy takes damage through the party-wide Cascade multiplier until it recovers.

Combine elements to trigger ten reactions. These include Steam Explosion, Deep Freeze, Electrocution, and Plasma Burst.



Bonds grow through battle. Healing, reviving, buffing, protecting, and surviving together strengthen the bond between two characters.

Higher bonds unlock new ways to help. Friends can assist attacks, reduce damage, avenge fallen allies, and echo one another's moves.

Unlock 21 Dual Techs. Two friends perform a skill together, and its damage continues to grow with their bond.

Equip Bond Gems. Each bond unlocks up to three shared gem sockets. Both partners receive the bonuses, and adjacent elements can fuse into extra traits.





















Defeated monsters can drop collectible cards.

Overkill improves the card drop rate. Cards come in five rarities and can appear as Shiny, Holofoil, or Elemental Duotone variants.

Equip up to three cards on each hero. Cards provide stat bonuses and family set effects.

Summon equipped monsters in battle. They can leap in to assist your attacks, and matching families can join together for duo or trio formation attacks.

Build a deck for Monster Clash. Play five cards on a 3D 3×3 board, flip opposing cards through elemental matchups, and claim a card when you win.



Each hero has a different combat mechanic. Paladins alternate Light magic, Guardians gain power by defending, and Engineers deploy machines.

Socket elemental gems into skills. Gems can change damage, states, timing, targets, or how a skill works with ATB and Stagger.

Socket permanent gems into equipment. Two copies of the same weapon or armor can support different builds.

Build around rare equipment. Gear ranges from Mystic to Paragon quality. Legendary Traits change core battle rules, while named sets add bonuses for wearing several pieces.



Cook, forge equipment, and grow plants. Each activity has its own hands-on controls rather than a single menu command.

Each region has its own activities. Try the Archery Contest, Rabbit Rush, Hatchling Hustle, Crate & Switch, Desert Dance, and Drinking Duel.

Gamble at the casino. Line up symbols across five slot reels, build poker hands that summon fighters, or play roulette pinball.

Play larger standalone minigames. Build a SteamBot, customize a tank, defend a train, fight sky pirates, or discover unexpected liminal spaces.

Solve interactive locks and puzzles. Pick locks, crack safes, align rotary ciphers, reconnect circuits, and balance pressure gauges.



Isaac's first task as a Paladin is a simple delivery with his best friend, Orman. The job takes them far beyond Haventown.

Travel with eight playable heroes. Choose who fights and who waits in reserve as the cast grows.

Choices change later scenes. Some decisions affect who survives and who is present at the end.

Hear conflicting accounts of Cascadia's history. Isaac must reconsider some of the answers he grew up with.
