About This Game

Inspired by beloved classic games, Track Day has an innovative career mode and authenticity in heart. Buy a used car and modify it for racing part by part. Compete with amateurs, then get the pro license and try to make a name for yourself in your home country before you raise the stakes.

Detailed Description

Do you have a feeling that there is less and less creativity in the racing games genre? We think so too. Being players first and foremost, we were tired of this stagnancy and decided to create a game we want to play ourselves. A game centered around a robust, creative career mode, inspired by the best ideas from classic titles and enhanced with our own experience with real-life racing in Central Europe.

A RACING CAREER OF MERE MORTALS

In Track Day, we invite you to enter the world of racing just like you’d do it in the real world (in case you don’t have rich parents or influential sponsors, that is). You’ve saved some money to spend it on a regular used car - one of older, nostalgic models manufactured 20-30 years ago. A youngtimer.

For starters, you’re going to compete with amateurs on local race tracks in Poland. Driving fast is not enough to climb higher. In the real world everything has a price: repairing damage, changing worn tires, even entry fee for races. Driving slowly and wisely can take you further than being a speed demon who goes broke in his first race after crashing his car over a barrier.

LICENSES FOR THE AMBITIOUS, TUNING FOR THE WISE

If you survive the beginning of your career and earn some money, you’ll have a chance to progress. Pay for license courses that will let you participate in professional asphalt racing, rallycross, or drift - first on a national level, then European.

You’ll also need a car prepared properly. You’re going to transform not only the engine, chassis, or body, but also the interior. Adding wings or splitters is just as important as removing unnecessary kilograms from the cockpit to place a rollcage and other equipment for motorsports in its place.

Each event has specific requirements and class restrictions so you need to upgrade your ride carefully, managing ever-small funds and time needed for work on the car. A roaring engine with big power won’t do you any good if you exceed the noise limit during the pre-race scrutineering. If you’re installing a rollcage in your car, you need to take into account additional costs of transporting it with a car hauler, since the law in Poland forbids you from driving a car with such equipment on public roads.

AN OPEN CAREER ON OPEN TRACKS

However, your life in Track Day doesn’t go just from race to race. You’ll find various events with diverse activities in the calendar.

You can visit your favourite track and explore its open map via freeroam, take VIPs on show rides to earn extra money (unless you’ve removed the passenger seat from your race car to save weight…), or go to the parts fair to acquire some special upgrades unavailable via the webshop.

And when you decide it’s time to get some rest… who knows, maybe you’ll drive one of those legendary machines, unattainable for ordinary people like you, in your dreams?

RPG MECHANICS TO SERVE BEGINNERS

Do you think the automotive realm is too complex? Worry not, Chris is here to guide you through nuances of the racecraft and explain anything that’s unclear. You can imagine him as an NPC talking to you like in an RPG game.

You can also turn on some assists and customize your experience to your liking so that you don’t go broke after your very first race. However, even if you go… you can always earn some cash by participating in events as a marshal who watches races to keep them safe and penalize dirty drivers.

There are many paths to success in the world of Track Day. And whichever you choose, the most important thing is for you to simply have fun.

KEY FEATURES OF TRACK DAY

  • Robust career mode (offline, obviously). You buy used cars to modify them extensively and get licenses for various disciplines (asphalt racing, rallycross, drift) to compete on a national and then European level.

  • Wide selection of well-known "ordinary" cars, as well as proper race machines.

  • Race tracks in Poland and Europe created as open maps where you can have fun and explore freely, looking for side activities.

  • Online multiplayer allows you to show your uniquely modified cars to other players and compete with their vehicles in races.

  • Outside of career, you can drive and race freely in the singleplayer arcade mode.

  • Mod support allows you to add your favourite cars and tracks to the game, and customize the gameplay to your liking.

  • Unreal Engine 5 makes Track Day look like a modern game (unlike too many contemporary sims).
