Knights and Lords is a survival, strategy and role-playing game set in a fictional medieval world. You command a warlord hero unit as he builds a new kingdom. Take control of the game with real RTS elements, and with a click of a button switch to a first person perspective and command your hero unit to help gather resources, build, and fight and level up on the battlefield.

Knights and Lords blends the best elements of city management, RTS gameplay, and RPG character development into one amazing time. Featuring over 80 different building types that keep peasants happy, fed, and needs provided. 60 different unit types from 8 unique factions with many different weapons and armament from all over the medieval world. From the southern factions to the northern kingdom take control of different factions over vast beautiful RTS maps.

A World of Vast Biomes and Dynamic Environments

The game spans a wide array of biomes, from the frigid and barren northern tundras to the scorching deserts of the south. With over 24 maps to choose from coming from all of these different biomes. You will have a lot of options to enhance quick play and fun RTS games against AI or human factions. All of these maps are included in the large campaign map which features a lite 4X experience. In that mode you will command armies, and improve regions, but can zoom in and load into an RTS game where the outcome of a contested region or what you do on that RTS battle affects the campaign.

 Each region presents unique environmental challenges and opportunities. Northern lands are harsh and demand resilience, while tropical islands offer fertile ground but invite danger from storms and disease. The dynamic weather system brings rain, sandstorms, and snow, while natural disasters like wildfires and earthquakes can test your kingdom’s stability. Animals native to each biome add life to the world and provide both resources and challenges, as they can be hunted for food—or become a threat to your villagers.

**RPG Elements: The Rise of the Warlord**

In *Knights and Lords*, you are more than a distant ruler clicking buttons and right clicking peasants and soldiers around. You can take control of your hero warlord in first-person mode, where the game’s RPG elements come alive. Level up your character by completing tasks, fighting enemies, and commanding troops on the battlefield. Collect resources, build structures, and even farm alongside your villagers. Engage in thrilling duels with rival warlords, showcasing your combat skills and unlocking new abilities as you progress. Your warlord’s success directly impacts your kingdom—should they fall in battle, the morale and efficiency of your people will suffer.

After you’re done battling or helping your peasants out. With the click of a key, you can be transported back to an RTS view of the world and make more tactical moves, and build buildings and go back to commanding your villagers.

City Building Meets Strategic Gameplay

Knights and Lords features some of the city management systems you see in other mainline titles. Citizens will become unhappy if needs are not met. They will refuse to work or even group together in an full on rebellion if they feel unheard, hungry, tired of war, or not taken care of properly. You must build buildings that keep citizens happy, lower taxes, keep different type of food well stocked in the granaries, and enact policies and laws that benefit the civilian population.

Naval Warfare and Exploration

The seas are as treacherous as the lands, offering both opportunities and dangers. Build and command ships to engage in naval warfare, boarding enemy vessels, ramming ships, and raiding coastal settlements. Explore new islands and trade routes, or use your fleet to transport troops to distant lands for conquest. Take your hero unit and explore the seas as a member of a ship. In later eras use cannons and other newer military advancements to pirate and battle opponents!

Multiplayer and Single-Player RTS Modes

At launch Knights and Lords will feature multiplayer and singleplayer RTS battles. These games take place on a large map with up to 8 total factions building their towns, and exploring and conquering parts of the map. Players will select the map type in a lobby and launch the game and start exploring, gathering resources, and building out their settlements. Environmental  and map related problems such as animals, weather, raiders, and disease is present and players must advance and explore with caution.
