About This Game

An artificial life simulation about a robot cultivating ecosystems on the moons of a ruined planet. Grow fantastical plants and animals, facilitate their evolution, and gather resources while discovering the secrets of this strange world.

Detailed Description

Create favorable conditions for ecosystems to flourish.

  • Build contraptions to attract comets, which will release water, resources, and occasionally even frozen flora and fauna.

  • Plants require various amounts of light, water, soil, and air to grow.

  • Animals need to eat, drink, and breathe. They also need to find shelter from the elements and each other.

  • Waste from plants and animals will break down into fertile soil, letting ecosystems grow larger and more complex over time.

Organisms evolve over generations.

  • Every organism has genes and can mutate randomly in many ways.

  • Push a species in a specific direction, or leave it alone and watch it evolve in response to the environment. Feeling impatient? Get in the lab and edit some genomes – just don’t be surprised if things go off the rails.

  • Create adorable critters, bizarre monsters, and anything in between.

Make friends.

  • Find and fix other robots as you travel from moon to moon.

  • Most will be helpful, but not all are friendly.

  • Learn more about your shared origins, and try to understand your existence.

As the moons change, so do you.

  • Biomass gathered from a healthy ecosystem can be converted into useful resources, or into energy to travel between moons.

  • Use what you find to build yourself new tools.

  • Protect your fragile, beautiful world... or don't, and watch chaos unfold.
