About This Game
Bring your best weapon, this is a massive, ancient structure designed for one purpose: trapping the unwary. This isn't just a maze; it's a living entity, and you are its prey in this action/adventure game !
Detailed Description
Escape the Labyrinth:
The Premise:
You are the Prey, an unwilling participant trapped within a massive, ancient labyrinth. Its singular purpose hunts you. This is an Action/Adventure FPS focused on shooting ennemies, suspense, and survival.
I. The Goal: Escape the Labyrinth
The primary objective is straightforward, but the means are complex: Find the single, elusive exit and escape The Labyrinth.
II. Character Progression: Adaptation and Augmentation
A. Mastery and Insight (Non-Numeric Progression)
Effect: Unlocks new Tactical Insights on the HUD (e.g., "The Stone-Walkers are deaf to non-metallic sounds," "This floor tile always collapses after two steps"). This allows for non-combat bypasses.
Weapon Familiarity: Simply using your "best weapon" over time doesn't increase its damage. Instead, it improves the Character's Handling of it.
B. Physical Augmentation (Permanent Upgrades)
These are rare, powerful items found in hidden or highly dangerous areas.
Core Capacity Upgrades: Increases the maximum capacity for critical resources (e.g., carry one extra magazine, or a slightly larger health pack).
Sensory Enhancers: Small implants or gear that slightly improve the character's interaction with the environment.
Example: Acoustic Dampeners slightly reduce the radius of sound the player makes, aiding stealth.
Example: Infrared Filters allow a momentary view of recently disturbed sections of the Labyrinth's walls, highlighting a brief window before the Labyrinth "heals" itself.
C. Weapon and Gear Modification
Your initial "best weapon" is all you have for a long time. Progression focuses on maximizing its potential.
Silencer: Crucial for stealth, but slightly decreases muzzle velocity (less damage/range).
Extended Magazine: Allows one extra round per magazine, but increases reload time.
High-Powered Scope: Improves long-range precision but significantly increases ADS time and reduces peripheral vision.
III. Game Mechanics: Resource Scarcity, Tension, and The Labyrinth's Sentience
The core gameplay loop is built around the terror of running out of resources while being stalked by an environment that actively opposes you.
A. The "Every Bullet Counts" System
Resource Scarcity: Ammunition is incredibly scarce. A standard engagement might cost 5-10 bullets, but you might only find 2-3 in the entire next room.
