Barbarian Axe is a hardcore, single-player ARPG set in a dark, medieval fantasy world. The game features fast-paced combat, exploration, and a unique risk/reward system where players lose experience points upon death. Players take on the role of Ragnar, a barbarian who is going to fight as a mercenary in a bloody war on the north. On the way he finds a village where the inhabitants are going through a macabre situation. A wizard with the power to create new species is taking people and mixing them with animals and other beings, creating grotesque hybrid creatures that are increasingly powerful and horrendous. Monsters of all kinds surround the village and the desperate inhabitants offer what they have to the barbarian to bring back their people. At least those who are still humans.

Ragnar's journey unfolds as he battles monstrous enemies, unravels the mystery of Vizimir’s experiments, and upgrades his legendary axe to unlock powerful abilities.

Barbarian Axe provides a challenging yet rewarding experience. The RPG is not a hack and slash, instead each enemy can provide a challenge.

Lose XP upon death:

When you die, you lose part of the XP you acquired. XP is very important in the game to level up and get better stats.

Hidden Equipment:

The best equipment in Barbarian Axe is not easily found and to open their respective chests you will sometimes need to defeat powerful enemies.
