About This Game
BACKFIRE is a tense horror-themed arcade shooter about a haunted 80's arcade cabinet with a sinister twist- Your weapons fire backwards. Engage in intense combat, bend time to your advantage, and die to demented bosses. Upgrade your power after each attempt until you are strong enough to prevail.
Detailed Description
Nine deadly weapons with one thing in common– they all fire backward. Mastering each weapon's quirks is the key to combat. Jet around with the flamethrower, master the kick of the shotgun, kill at a distance with the sniper rifle. Whatever you choose, fire with purpose, or die.
They crawl, lunge, and swarm. Grotesque enemies and their sinister overlords. Learn their patterns and perfect your positioning for maximum carnage. Fail and be pulled into madness. They don’t want to kill you... they want to keep you.
Each descent is a fleeting ten-minutes of chaos. The souls you collect... are eternal. Use them to unlock powerful upgrades for your ship, evolving your arsenal and abilities. Die, upgrade, repeat. Come back stronger, or not at all.
