You're here because Elmer Powell, a diplomatic envoy who was returning to Washington after negotiating a trade agreement with a delegation from Mexico, vanished without a trace and hasn't been heard from in over a month. 

All telegraphs sent to the town have not received a reply. 

As an agent of the newly-formed Federal Secret Service, your task is to investigate what's causing this.
