What is Kanka?

Kanka is a co-op-first sci-fi action RPG / third-person shooter for 1–4 players, playable solo or with a squad.

You are part of a volunteer team sent to the research planet SP-01 after two earlier expeditions disappeared without contact. The mission goes wrong before it truly begins: a hidden orbital weapon strikes your ship during descent, leaving the team stranded far from home.

Regroup after the crash, uncover what happened on SP-01, grow stronger, and find a way off the planet — without leaving anyone behind.

Fight Across SP-01

SP-01 is home to hostile factions, dangerous creatures, abandoned expedition sites, damaged infrastructure, and unanswered questions.

Fight your way through enemy groups in fast third-person combat, adapt to different combat roles and threats, and push deeper into the planet as new missions lead you beyond the crash site.

Organized factions field ranged Strikers, aggressive Crushers, and technology-wielding Technomancers, while native creatures such as the Nexarach bring their own combat behaviors to the battlefield.

Your weapons, attributes, equipment, and class Skills work together to define how your character develops.

Four Classes, Four Ways to Support the Squad

Choose from four playable classes with distinct combat identities:

Soldier — Orin Veynar

Control enemy pressure, protect the squad, and survive on the front line with Challenge Pulse and Bulwark.

Doctor — Viya Lexa

Rescue allies from critical situations and create areas of sustained support with Triage Pulse and Nanite Field.

Scientist — Dain Magnar

Disrupt enemy defenses and create openings for focused attacks with Arc Discharge and Weakness Analysis.

Engineer — Sivrax Ulthar

Deploy combat technology and combine your own gunplay with machines using Deploy Combat Turret and Overclock.

Class roles create strong squad synergies, but no role is a hard requirement. Every class can progress and fight solo through the shared weapon, equipment, attribute, and Skill systems.

Build Your Base of Operations

Your journey begins at the Crash Site, where the team must recover from the failed descent and restore essential systems.

Reaching Dustline Camp establishes your first permanent base on SP-01 — a place to prepare for missions, craft, research, manage your progression, and plan the next move.

From there, follow the trail of the missing expeditions, explore new regions, take on main and side missions, and move closer to finding a way home.

Built for Co-op

Kanka is designed around 1–4 player online co-op, with combat roles and class abilities that become more powerful when players work together.

Coordinate attacks, protect teammates, recover wounded Kankas, combine class strengths, and adapt your squad to the threats ahead.

Or take on SP-01 alone and build your character around the challenges of solo play.
