About This Game
A short psychological horror interactive story. Five years after vanishing without a trace, the woman you once called your lover writes from beyond the silence: "I will give birth to our creation.” In three acts, descend into a fractured mindscape where obsession, memory, and myth intertwine.
Detailed Description
Livber: Smoke and Mirrors is an interactive psychological horror story shaped by your choices: one steeped in love, obsession, and madness. Every decision you make, every step you take, will pull you deeper into your own personal insanity.
BRIEF SUMMARY
Lilith, whom you believed dead for years, calls to you with nothing but a letter, summoning you back to the old house, silent witness to your past. Inside the letter, there is only an address and a few haunting lines:
"I will birth our creation in our home. Come, and crown us in the dark. You and I must always be one."
And so, on a night drowned in rain, you return. Through the windows, candlelight flickers, proof that someone is inside.
Lilith… or whatever remains of her.
Within those walls, long-buried memories resurface: betrayal, passion, and wounds that never healed. Lilith has been waiting, not just for reunion, but to complete a dark plan set in motion years ago. And with every question you ask, you’re pulled further into a reality that no longer feels like your own.
ABOUT
Livber: Smoke and Mirrors is a text-based interactive fiction game in the choose your own adventure tradition. Your choices don’t just influence your next move; they reshape the entire narrative. The doors you open, the questions you choose to ask, or the silence you choose to keep, can all lead you to different paths, different fates.
As you’re pulled through these dark halls by Lilith’s obsessions, no choice is right or wrong. Every decision alters how the story unfolds. And in the end, when the sins you tried to bury rise through the soil, all that remains is who you’ve become.
At every step, one question will haunt you:
"Who do you become when the one you love is gone?"
With over 60,000 words, Livber: Smoke and Mirrors is a dark psychological thriller about how love can decay, how longing can twist into obsession, and how sometimes, to love is to destroy.
