After a pesky tribe of Gauls denies Caesar the complete conquest of Gaul, the troubled General decides to return to Rome to speak to the Senate and request additional legions and supplies to finish the conquest of Gaul. Given Caesar has spent many years away from the Capital City, she finds that things have changed a lot since she has left. There are new players in power swaying the attitude of the senate including a mysterious Egyptian princess who has become Rome’s new cause celebre.
“Rumours of a Roman Empire” is a Visual Novel and Dating Sim set in an alternate universe Late Roman Republic where both men and women wield the great city’s power. Play as either Julia or Julius Caesar as s/he must navigate the complex world of the Late Roman Republic and play its most influential members one against the other to get what she wants.
