A world in peril

Near future Europe is transformed. Facing climate disaster while restructuring society to withstand the enormous pressures that act upon our changing planet.

The First Generation reformed the political and economic system during the Great Reforms of the 2030s. The states and their people align to push back against ever more frequent environmental hazards. Enormous geoengineering projects are started to meet these challenges head on.

It is only after one of the projects - tectonic station one - fails spectacularly,  that the faultlines of old feuds and deepened ideological differences open up again.

Features and Gameplay

Against this backdrop, you are tasked with probing the memories of Subject 2184 - a suspect in the investigation of the spectacular failure of Tectonic Station One. Your task is to find evidence of a larger conspiracy using the newly introduced practice of Abyssal Mind Probing - a medical procedure in which you reconstruct memories, thoughts and motivations directly from the mind of the subject. 
It is on you to identify co-conspirators and other agents of change that could put Europe's hope of reversing its hazardous environmental conditions - and its future as a free and prospering society - in jeopardy.

As the Investigator, you will:

• explore the memories and thoughts of Subject 2184 using Mind Probing.

• uncover and interact with 3D reconstructions of key points in their life in first- and third-person views.

• collect information as fact-cards and relate them to the characters and situations you encounter.

• use the facts at key locations to dive ever deeper into even more memories.

• learn more about near future Europe and its transformation during the Great Reforms and dive deep into world of Neo Baltica and the factions and institutions that shape our planet's future.
