A once cozy mansion on the edge of town becomes the epicenter of a nightmare. 70-year-old Olivia Sanders is found brutally murdered, and her caregiver, Clara Turner, disappears without a trace. Suspicion falls on her, and the investigation quickly unfolds - but the involvement of the victim's grandson, Detective Ethan Sanders, is flatly refused to be reckoned with. He is removed from the case, forced to take a vacation.... But grief, anxiety and inner voice push Ethan to the only decision - to take the investigation into his own hands.
