About This Game
A turn-based RPG following Selva, a retired mercenary; Aurum, a poetic "robot bard"; and allies including engineers, luddite artists, and survivors fighting back against AI-controlled "utopias". Recruit machines to your side, upgrade with salvaged tech, & explore bizarre pockets of human resistance.
Detailed Description
A retro-styled RPG, set in a universe hurdled toward machine singularity.
Inspired by retro sci-fi, cyberpunk anime, and classic RPGs.
Pixel art drawn in the style of SNES / PS1.
Character-driven stories; existentialist themes related to AI, simulations, futurism as a religion, dystopian vs utopian paths for technology, digital identity etc.
Navigate the BOUNTY system: A numeric representation of how often robots will seek out the player for combat, based on their specific actions.
Inflict machine-specific status effects such as Short-Circuited (electric stun) and VIRUS (confused/berserk behavior) to disadvantage the robot foes!
The player can reprogram some robotic enemies to fight alongside the partyโor even upgrade them!

Join Selva, a grizzled and Luddite-leaning mercenary, formerly trained to hunt rogue AIs, who is drawn back to the fold amidst increasing social unrest...
Despite formerly putting her guns away for a life of leisure and solitude, new events have forced her to reconsider her unfolding destiny in a technocratic future.

& Jiro, a boy who lived his entire life inside the Aethar Hives: a largely underground bunker, an AI-governed pseudo-utopia where human life is tightly regulated through immaculate LLMs, VR, utilitarian controls, and emotional suppression in exchange for 'order' and safety.
Other recruits include Misaki, an elderly wanderer and former herbalist, scouring the toxic surface for untainted seeds, and Aurum, a 'robotic bard' programmed to communicate only through poetry.
