About This Game
Rebuilding Civilization is a single player simulation management game. You will lead a small group of war survivors to establish new settlements through collection, construction, production, and transportation, and you will face various challenges. Can you rebuild a new civilization?
Detailed Description
"Rebuilding Civilization" – This is a survival, development, and construction game.
In the aftermath of war and catastrophe, the remnants of humanity gather on a desolate land. As their leader, you must guide your people in rebuilding civilization from scratch amid scarce resources and lost technology.
Step 1: Choose the Starting Location
You decide to settle the first group of survivors near a lush plain. With ample water, fertile soil for crops, and open terrain for defense, this location is ideal. Using wood and stone, you build simple shelters and send out scouts to explore the surrounding area for resources.
Step 2: Gather Resources & Construct Facilities
At first, survival depends on foraging and hunting. But as the population grows, you begin logging, quarrying stone, and constructing sturdier houses and storage. A basic mill is built to process grain, while the establishment of a blacksmith allows for the crafting of tools and weapons.
Step 3: Develop the Village & Establish Transportation
With improved productivity, scattered camps gradually merge into a small village. You lay dirt roads to connect nearby resource points and begin trading with distant settlements for scarce supplies. The emergence of commerce kickstarts the economy, further expanding the village.
Step 4: Secure Resources & Manufacture Goods
To sustain growth, you clear more farmland and attempt to domesticate livestock. Handicrafts become specialized—pottery, textiles, and simple metalworks are produced, meeting internal needs and becoming valuable trade goods.
Step 5: Expand Trade & Defend Against Threats
As the village prospers, raiders take notice. You build walls, train militia, and form alliances through trade. Merchant caravans travel farther, eventually discovering larger surviving settlements. The spark of civilization reignites, bringing new hope.
Under your leadership, this once-doomed group not only recovers its population but also rekindles the dawn of civilization. Yet greater challenges lie ahead—should you expand further or consolidate your gains? The choice is yours.
