Detailed Description
A psychological horror experience between reality and nightmare...
APHASIA is a first-person psychological horror video game that explores themes of guilt, trauma, and consciousness during a comatose state. The game takes the player on a journey through settings as realistic as they are dreamlike, on the border between reality and imagination, where nothing is ever as it seems.
A journey into the broken mind - The player takes on the role of a protagonist with no name and no past: no face, no voice, no memory. Only confused fragmentsβa hospital room, an operating room, then darkness. Upon awakening, he finds himself in a deserted and disturbing hospital. But something isn't right: each door leads to different, ever-changing places, as if reality were giving way to the absurd.
Gameplay and Key Features
- Immersive first-person exploration
- Environmental interaction with objects, puzzles, and hidden clues
- Non-linear narrative structure with multiple endings
- Moral choices that influence the story and the protagonist's psychology
- Dynamic environments that alternate between clinical realism and distorted mental landscapes
An interactive tale of trauma - Each choice made by the player reveals a fragment of the past and leads to one of the multiple possible endingsβsome sad, others profoundly tragic, others even more ambiguous or hopeful. All, however, are linked by a common thread: the need to confront a repressed traumatic event, which continues to reverberate in the protagonist's psyche.
