About This Game
A retro first-person shooter with modernistic ideas. Awakening the Knightmare is a retro styled first-person shooter with modern features that puts you into the realm of Dagon, a place derived from night terrors and forged in the fires of suffering.
Detailed Description
This game sees you accomplishing missions for the forces of Skarn, aiding them in their war against the darkness. The more you help with the war effort, the more support you shall have when you choose to lay siege to Dagon's dark citadel.
It aims to show you a few steps into a militaristic world of untold magic, mystery and monsters crafted from night terrors. In essence, to see inside a world made by an unconscious mind.
Inside this realm you are stranded, it is your goal to gear up and take the fight to the dark citadel as it holds the only stable gateway out of this realm. After each mission you may choose to accomplish another mission, or assault the citadel. Each mission is different and the order of them is randomized so you may not know what you are walking into, for each mission you complete, the dark citadel level will become easier.
Instead of difficulty sliders or traditional difficulty modes, there is a system called boons, each boon does something different big or small to make the game feel different. You may choose as many or as few boons to be enabled when you begin your save file
