Behind the Masks is a free-for-all social deduction game, where you must try to keep your role concealed while exposing others. Leverage your role's abilities alongside your smarts to outwit opponents and become the last mask standing.
The Story
In Behind the Masks, you are a participant of a twisted masquerade—a deadly competition where the winner inherits unimaginable riches. Competitors from all walks of life entered the mansion with hopes of claiming it for themselves, but only one will earn the privilege.
The Game
The game takes place across three distinct phases—the Challenge Phase, Voting Phase, and Dinner Phase. These phases will cycle until a winner is declared.
Challenge Phase - Sharpen your blade or break out your dancing shoes as you compete against other players in duels and dances. Your role determines how well you will perform, winning gifts if you defeat others. Be cautious, however—garner too much attention and you might end up exposing your role...
Voting Phase - Only the best can survive in this competition. The voting phase places losers from the Challenge Phase at the mercy of the winners. If enough votes are placed against you, you will be eliminated.
Dinner Phase - Enjoy the finest food found across the land... or the finest poisons. During the Dinner Phase, players can place guesses as to the identity of their competitors. If the guess is correct, that player is executed. If not, the player who guessed is instead.
The Roles
Explore a wide variety of unique roles, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
Killing Roles like the Assassin are capable of eliminating the competition outside of the normal competition cycle.
Discovery Roles like the Maid gather information on their opponents to deduce their roles and eliminate them.
Deception Roles like the Musician rely on misdirecting their opponents, feeding them misinformation and forcing them to make mistakes.
Survival Roles like the Soldier value self-preservation above all else, using their abilities to outlast everyone else.
