About This Game
Turbo 16 depicts a coming-of-age narrative through combining arcade racing and storytelling. Turbo 16 is a racing game and provides players with racing challenges (3 modes), the game is equally an environmental narrative experience.
Detailed Description
Turbo 16 is a story-driven indie racing game that blends elements of arcade racing and environmental storytelling.
A solo developer effort, Turbo 16 depicts a coming-of-age narrative through the eyes of Ellis Helsby, its protagonist. Life is never truly straight-forward, dreams come and go, yet, the passion remains.
The game combines arcade racing and storytelling and provides players with both racing and story modes. In Turbo 16, the narrative elements and artifacts are revealed in the environment as players complete racing challenges in 3 different modes and classes.
Whilst Turbo 16 is a racing game and provides players with racing challenges, the game is equally a narrative experience and mechanisms have been implemented to ensure a smooth narrative progression for players less inclined towards arcade racing.
Currently in development, Turbo 16 will comprise 10 tracks and 30 cars upon release in 2026.
Playtime
Turbo 16 is intended to be a short, self-contained experience with an average playtime of 5 to 6 hours.
Controller Support
The game has been tested with a PS4 DualShock and Xbox One controller (both wired). The game uses the InControl API, therefore these controllers may be supported, but have not been tested by the developer.
There is currently no support for PS5 DualSense controllers.
