About This Game
Discover the mysterious city of Upper Morkezela, where gods go to die. As an apprentice to the priest of the fungal cult, your task will be to discover what lies behind the mysterious distress signal sent from the city.
Detailed Description
You are the apprentice of a fungal priest, sent to trace a distress signal pulsing through the mycelial network. The mysterious city of Upper Morkezela awaits your arrival. Within its collapsing scrapers and humming markets, machines still pray, dead gods dream, waiting to rise again, and somewhere in the rot, there is something hidden in the Egg Cathedral.
Speak with citizens and symbionts who no longer remember where their bodies end. Trade memories for relics, your own spores for drugs, rewrite your own anatomy by embracing symbionts and align yourself with factions that feed or resist the cityβs slow decay.
There is no combat. Only language, spores, and consequence.
The fate of Upper Morkezela grows or decays with every word you choose.
Narrative-driven exploration β A 2D adventure focused on dialogue, atmosphere, and discovery rather than puzzles or combat.
Growth/Decay world state β Every decision alters ecosystems, NPC behavior, and story tone. City locations may change depending on your choices, based on unique Growth/Decay system.
Symbiont companions β Merge with sentient symbiont creaturs that grant new abilities.
