About This Game
Scared Crow: A roguelike where you pick your final boss first. Adapt your deck with runes, master unique rules, and outsmart clever foes. A fresh tactical challenge awaits.
Detailed Description
Scared Crow is a card-based roguelike game featuring a wealth of innovative design elements. While preserving the unique appeal of the genre, it promises to deliver a fresh and exciting experience.
A Dynamic Start
After choosing your final opponent for the run, you will receive a randomized starter deck unique to each playthrough. You then independently select your "Actions" and "Enhancement Runes." Will you strengthen your cards immediately to power through the early game, or build up steadily for the late game? The choice is yours.
Actions
You begin with three initial Actions (Battle, Rest, and one unique Action of your choice) plus one mysterious Unknown Action. The Unknown Action will change as the game progresses. Each run consists of seven Action phases before you confront the final boss and commence the decisive battle.
Enhancement Runes
Runes can grant cards powerful new effects, significantly boosting their strength. Even the most humble low-tier card, when enhanced strategically, can become a core component of your deck.
Combat
Battles take place on a 5x5 grid. After cards are deployed onto the board, you and your opponent take turns performing actions. Attacks are resolved at the end of each round. Your adversaries possess distinctive decks of their own and considerable tactical intelligence. Sometimes, you might even learn a clever trick or two from them.
