About This Game

Gloomvex is a dark sci-fi arena roguelite where you face increasingly brutal enemy waves, corrupted Vex entities, and powerful bosses.

Choose one of 10 playable characters, expand your arsenal, collect chips, improve your stats, and create new builds run after run. Every run grows more intense, every decision matters – and the Vex corruption continues to spread.

The arena is no longer a clean training ground. Ruined sci-fi structures, wreckage, smoke, and damaged machinery surround the combat zone while increasingly dangerous enemies rush toward you.

Fight through wave-based survival gameplay, dodge attacks, collect experience and gold, upgrade your weapons, and survive for as long as possible.

Gloomvex features 20 weapons, including 10 base weapons and 10 powerful Epic hybrid weapons.

Upgrade your weapons during a run and use the Vex Synthesis system to fuse two Rare weapons into a new Epic hybrid weapon.

Face 11 bosses with unique attack patterns, dangerous mechanics, and escalating intensity.

• Bosses appear every 10 waves

• Each boss has its own attack patterns

• Below 33% HP, bosses become more aggressive

• Boss fights reward you with chips and boss cores

• Boss cores unlock new characters

• Boss achievements are fully integrated with Steam

Every boss is a milestone in your run – and a new opportunity to push your progression forward.

Builds, Chips, and Meta Progression

Gloomvex combines fast arena action with multiple progression systems.

• Collect and equip upgrade chips

• Use boss cores to unlock new characters

• Purchase permanent upgrades in the Upgrade Shop

• Improve stats such as damage, health, movement speed, XP gain, gold gain, crit chance, crit damage, and armor

• Choose new upgrades for your current run when leveling up

• Discover augments, capsules, and additional run modifiers

This makes every run a different mix of character, weapons, upgrades, chips, and decisions.

Capsules and Arena Events

During a run, destructible Capsules can appear in the arena. They contain random effects that can influence the fight.

Possible effects include:

• XP bursts

• Plasma explosions

• Healing fields

• Stasis fields

• Hazard fields

• Chain lightning effects

• Temporary drones

• Free level-up menus

Capsules are not a safe reward – they are unstable Vex technology. Some help you, while others change the battle in dangerous ways.
