Invaders Evolutions transforms the classic fixed-screen alien shooter into a run-based, 100-level arcade survival war with no permanent power creep. You are humanity's last defensive line, fighting through a dark retro-industrial invasion toward the final Mothership encounter.

Moment to moment, it is fast, readable arcade action: slide the turret through incoming fire, carve openings in the formation, and decide when to risk a shot at a high-value spaceship.

But the aliens are not simply gaining more health. Every success, mistake, and missed opportunity can shift the momentum of the war. Hunt high-value spaceships, protect your limited turret reserves, and build humanity's counterattack before the swarm evolves beyond your control.

Control the Arms Race

Survival is not just about clearing the screen. It is about denying the enemy momentum while accelerating your own build.

• Starve the Enemy: Letting roaming spaceships escape, losing reserve turrets, or surrendering control of the battlefield feeds alien development and makes later levels more dangerous.

• Learned Alien Tactics: Horde Waves are more than pressure tests. Major Horde milestones teach the wider invasion new behaviors, allowing later formations to close gaps, resurrect destroyed attackers, repair damaged units, and attack from new angles.

• Punishing Escalation: Escaped spaceships and failed defenses can trigger severe consequences during relevant encounters, including carpet bombing pressure.

Research Humanity's Counterattack

You do not receive every major tool automatically. At key milestones, choose which technology to research next and shape the campaign around your priorities.

• Turret Shields absorb incoming hits and help protect your active turret from immediate destruction.

• Defensive Barriers reinforce battlefield cover and improve the durability of each barrier section.

• Seeker Missiles track roaming spaceships, deny the enemy valuable escapes, and grow stronger through upgrades.

Build, Survive, Score

Between levels, spend upgrade points to adapt your turret for the war ahead. Improve firepower, reload speed, bullet speed, movement, upgrade progress, turret reserves, shields, barriers, and seeker missile performance. Experiment with your build before committing, giving you room to strategize without punishing an accidental click.

At the end of each level, a performance ledger rewards clean shooting, aggressive spaceship hunting, and fast clears. Difficulty multipliers affect scoring, making survival alone only part of the challenge. The strongest runs demand accuracy, speed, smart research choices, ruthless resource denial, and long-term upgrade planning.

A good run feels like holding the line by inches: one reserve left, bombs falling, upgrade meters racing, and one more wave still somehow within reach.

• Performance Scoring: Accuracy, spaceship kills, clear time, and difficulty multipliers all feed into your final score.

• Global and Country Leaderboards: Chase worldwide scores or compete asynchronously for national bragging rights.

• Controller and Keyboard Support: Play with controller support across gameplay and major menus, or use configurable keyboard profiles.

• Proton-Tested Windows Build: The Windows build has been tested on Steam Deck and Ubuntu through Steam Play / Proton. No native Linux build is currently included.
