Puzzle Cottage is a calm, hand-made collection of fifteen daily logic puzzles wrapped in a warm, hand-drawn cottage. Every morning brings a fresh board for each puzzle — and every board is solvable by pure reasoning, never guessing. Pour a coffee, settle in, and think.

And when you would rather not think alone, there is a porch out front with a second chair — five games to play across the table with whoever is in the room.

Fifteen puzzles, each its own little ritual

• Weave — untangle a lattice until every strand sits just so.
  
• Forage — fill the grid so every row and column balances, with no three-in-a-row.
  
• Garlands — gently pull the strings until nothing crosses.
  
• Chime — balance the hanging beams so every arm rings true.
  
• Streams — branch one source so water reaches every tile.
  
• Picross — read the clues and paint the hidden picture.
  
• Bramble — draw one unbroken trail through every tile, winding past the brambles to hit the numbers in order.
  
• Bloom — tap to open the flowers until the whole garden is in bloom.
  
• Nectar — pour between jars until each holds a single colour.
  
• Vines — connect every pair of buds without the vines ever crossing.
  
• Verse — trace the hidden words through a web of letters.
  
• Starlight — place the stars so no two touch, one to every row, column and region.
  
• Carom — slide and chain the balls to pocket them all.
  
• Quilt — sew the grid into perfect rectangular patches.
  
• Wheel — spell the words hidden in a ring of letters.

Logic, never luck

Every daily logic board is verified to have exactly one solution you can reach by deduction alone. You'll never be forced to guess and check — if you're stuck, there's always a next move waiting to be found. A gentle, optional hint will teach you why, not just spoil the answer.

Verse and Wheel are the two deliberate exceptions: they are built from English words, so they ask what you know rather than what you can deduce. They count exactly like every other puzzle, and their clues are written in your language — an English word to find, and a definition you can already read. If you are learning English, that is the whole appeal, and plenty of players pick them up for precisely that.

Pull up a second chair

Out on the porch there are two seats and a low table, and five games meant to be played across it — with a sibling, a parent, a friend on the sofa. Take turns on the same computer, or play a gentle computer opponent when nobody's about.

• Chalk — three in a row, plus a nine-board version that will surprise anyone who thinks they've outgrown it.
  
• Acorns — drop acorns down the rack and line four up.
  
• Fences — close a square to claim it and go again. Two to four players.
  
• Pebbles — trap a line of the other colour and every pebble in it turns over.
  
• Warren — race your rabbit across the garden, or grow a hedge to send theirs the long way round. Two to four players.

Every player gets a seat at the table with their name and their own piece on it, and the one whose turn it is leans in under the lantern — so nobody ever has to ask whose go it is. Every game has a gentle setting a child can genuinely beat and a sharp one that won't go easy on you, and every board is fully open, so nothing is hidden from either player. Most of them let you pick the size of the board, and there is a head start for the younger player when the table needs levelling.

Play a single game or a first to three, keep a running head-to-head record of who wins more, and pick a half-played match back up where you left it. Matches are kept: how long each one took, who was playing, and who won. And through Steam's Remote Play Together, a friend anywhere in the world can take the other chair — no second copy needed.

None of it touches your daily streak. The porch is its own evening.

Because no board can be brute-forced, every solve is a real act of reasoning — and reasoning is a skill that compounds. Kids who play learn to look before they leap, break a big problem into small certain steps, and trust their own thinking. Completely family-safe: no ads, no chat, no purchases inside the game, no violence — and every word in the word puzzles is chosen to be safe for young readers. And you can sit down and play it with them: the porch games take two to four, on one computer, with a difficulty a child can genuinely win at.

• Challenges — send a friend the board you just solved, with your time to beat: a ten-character code for any chat app, straight to a Steam friend, or with one tap on anyone's row on a leaderboard. Results come back to the sender, and a Rivals section keeps the score with each person.
  
• Years of fresh boards — hand-tuned generators and curated puzzle pools mean a genuinely new challenge every day.
