This is the classic two-handed card game, given the care a 400-year-old game deserves: deal six, feed the crib, peg to 31, and count your fifteens, pairs, runs, and nobs on the way to 121. Faithful down to the last peg, and polished enough to keep you coming back for years.

Playing a hand is only where it starts. Just Cribbage was built to make you better at the game: a coach at your elbow reading every decision, an academy that takes you from your first crib to counting like a pub shark, and an opponent that plays you dead straight and lets you check the receipts. Learn the whole game in an evening, then chase a rating up the global ladder. This is cribbage with real depth to sink into.

An opponent that plays fair, and proves it

Every deal comes from a committed seed you can check after the hand, and the AI never sees your cards or reads the deck. A built-in verifier shows you the receipt for every single deal, so fairness is something you confirm for yourself instead of something we ask you to believe.

Difficulty that actually means something

Pick your fight. The levels are honest and genuinely different, benchmarked rather than rubber-banded, from a relaxed Cozy opponent who lets you find your feet to a Cutthroat expert that squeezes every last peg out of the pegging war. When you beat a harder tier, you beat it for real.

Learn the game, then outgrow it

Never played? A hands-on tutorial teaches the whole game step by step, from your first crib to counting a hand like you have done it for years.

Then keep going. The Academy's 17 short lessons carry you from "what's a crib?" into the strategy most players never pick up: discard value, pegging traps, reading the board, and the counting habits that decide close games. A built-in Hand Analyzer lets you build any six cards and see all fifteen throws ranked by the same brain the AI discards with, with a Hand Scorer and a Crib Odds Reference alongside it for checking a count or studying the crib. This is where "I know the rules" becomes "I know what I'm doing."

A coach at your elbow, if you want one

This is the heart of Just Cribbage, and it is the part that makes you better hand after hand. The whole suite is tunable switch by switch, from silent to chatty, so you turn on as much or as little as you like.

• Table reads on a slim board-side strip: your pace against par using the rule of 26, an offense/defense position read, an endgame counter for the run to 121, and a win-odds read built from the engine playing itself thousands of times.

• Live assists while you decide: best-toss discard highlights, magic-eleven hints, count-21 warnings, and trap alerts before you lead.

• After-hand review: discard and pegging grades, a "best throw" recap at the Show, and trap-sprung callouts, each one explained in plain language instead of a bare number.

• A full Game Review after the match that walks it hand by hand, marks the two or three moments that actually swung the game, and shows what the top tier would have thrown with your exact cards. It even tracks your recurring leaks and links the lesson that fixes each one, and your worst discards come back as Mistake Drills until you finally find the throw you missed.

Every coach has its own switch. The live assists honestly mark a game as practice so the leaderboards stay legit, and the whole suite stays quiet in the Daily Deal and in ranked play.

Ranked play

When you want to prove it, switch from Casual to Ranked. You choose your tier, play it straight with every assist off, and earn a rating that rises and falls with each result. Ladders run in two-month seasons, with an all-time Overall board that never resets, so you can climb the worldwide standings and see exactly where you sit. Ranked games are clean by design, so a spot on the ladder is one you earned at the table.

The Daily Deal

Once a day, everyone in the world gets the same six cards. One attempt per difficulty, a streak to protect, and a daily leaderboard to top. Same hands, no excuses.

And now you can learn from the best. Tap any entry on the daily or ranked leaderboard and the match replays right inside the game: both hands face up, the pegging pile and count, the crib, and the Show, stepped through card by card or scrubbed along a timeline. Watch how the top score played the exact hand that just beat you.

More ways to play

When one game isn't enough, Match Play runs a best-of-3, 5, or 7 series against the computer. Quick Puzzles sharpen the skills that decide close games: a daily Best Discard drill that shows you what everyone else threw once you've picked, plus Count This Hand against the clock. And Cribbage Squares is a solitaire twist: deal a starter and sixteen cards into a 4x4 grid, then score all eight rows and columns, with a fresh daily square the whole world shares.
