DarkDice is a dice-driven investigation log set across Lovecraft's Mythos, built for investigators who want real stakes behind every choice.
Recruit an investigator at your Society's HQ, then send them into one of 32 standalone cases set across the Cthulhu Mythos: The Mountains of Madness, The Colour Out of Space, The Dunwich Horror, Innsmouth, and more. Read the file, weigh the risk, and step through the door — because once you cross that threshold, there's no turning back until you've escaped or fallen.
A free thank-you for existing investigators: the complete Cases of Herbert West collection. All 6 entries — from "From the Dark" through the collection's finale, The Tomb-Legions — are included free, as our thanks to everyone who's been with the game through Early Access. This collection plays differently from the rest of the roster: fewer "collect the key items, open the vault door" puzzles, far more mutually exclusive route branching, named characters who can become your rivals or your allies depending on how you play them, and multiple distinct endings per case — built for replaying, not just clearing once.

A short in-fiction psychology quiz reads your answers and matches you to the archetype your choices actually point to, each with its own skill spread, Credit Rating, and personal hook into the case.
Sanity has a cost — your mind erodes with your choices, and a broken investigator plays differently than a sharp one.
Permadeath, permanent consequences — no reloading past a bad roll. If your investigator falls, that story ends.
32 Mythos cases — set in the world of Lovecraft's Mythos and Chambers' King in Yellow, each a self-contained investigation.
Investigation Team HQ — build a roster between cases, gather Ancient Knowledge and Merit, equip your team from a growing item pool.
