About the Video

Two brothers are up against the wall when they’re threatened by a construction company to sell their family land, which also happens to be the local neighborhood’s soccer pitch. Facing eviction from the bank on a loan gone bad, and with no options left, the two must turn to the only thing they know: Soccer. Facing insurmountable odds, the brothers must band together with a group of neighborhood “misfits” to field a team for a renowned soccer tournament. It’s a must win match if they’re going to win the money needed to stop their eviction and save their beloved community soccer pitch.

The Team tells the tale of a group of street soccer players from all walks of life who must come together to save their favorite soccer pitch from ruthless developers. The story is loosely based on the very real urban phenomenon of gentrification happening all over the world, as large construction companies are displacing and destroying small communities in their pursuit of ever higher profits.
