The events in this game are not canon in the AppSir Games Universe. While the core story of the two games is the same, only the 2021 remake of this game establishes the continuity and lore of the franchise.
If you want to play the remake, download DERE EXE: Rebirth of Horror for free.
After installing this DLC, DERE EXE: Classic Edition should appear in the folder where DERE EVIL EXE is installed. You can find this by right clicking DERE EVIL EXE on the games list, selecting Properties, going to the LOCAL FILES tab then selecting the BROWSE LOCAL FILES button.
